    Shaman idealisms Chapter 3 Acceptance

Thursday, June 26, 2008, 08:34 PM CST [General]

    html_removed html_removed html_removed html_removed

    Shaman idealisms                      Chapter 3         Acceptance

You don’t have to agree, or like them, or even want to be around them, but you do have to accept them for being Human.

Just like you have to take the Cow as a Cow, you have to take the human as the human

You don’t need to trust any one, trust them to be what they are "human", some good, some bad; some don’t care one way or the other.

Where all Shamans get hurt, they want to trust every one, the want to fix what ever is broken. That feeling is in the bones, its deeper then any part of them.

Shamans will destroy there families and self to help others and try to fix the problem.

As a Shaman, you have to accept people to be who they are; you can't "fix" any one.

People are responsible for there own actions; do not try to be the hero.

Learning acceptance is hard, learning you don’t have to change people, mold them, or try and carry there problems.

Our job as Shamans is to, teach, guide, support, to help people learn , how, to support them selves, how to carry there own load, to walk there own path, and to find that path which they need to walk.

One of the best ways to achieve acceptance of others, accept you're self, heal from your past and your programming.

Most every Shaman I know has been through the abuse they are working to help others through. If you are not accepting what's happened to you, if you haven’t healed past your own abuse, then you will never be able to help some one through there's.

Acceptance of the self is the most important part of walking the Shaman path.

There isn’t a whole lot to say about this very important word, there really isn’t much on it, in the way of research.

To be the secret to the "Grate Mysteries of Life" is "Acceptance"

Shaman idealisms Chapter 2 The Journey

Shaman idealisms                      Chapter 2         The Journey

Taking the steps to find out if you are meant to live as a Shaman can be daunting at best.

You will spend years lost and confused, trying to understand why you don’t follow the idealisms of the people around you. Some times you have problems with anger, energy, and just a knowing of things that you really don’t want to know about.

The journey of the Shaman is the hardest part of the hole path, and yet it’s the most rewording.

You will find your self wanting to understand everything, and yet being ok with knowing nothing. The paradox of Wisdom + Education = Knowledge. Trying to take everything you have seen, experienced, herd, believed, been taught, and been programmed to believe, and trying to make since of it.

While you are taking your journey through this life time, you must strive to allow the world around you to be what it is.

You must allow people to be who they are. (more on this latter)

You must walk free of guilt and fear or regret of your past.

If you make mistakes (and you will), learn from them, allow them to happen and see the out come. Try to stop what you can, and try to be sure you always know what you are doing at all times.

Do not regret the choices you make in life, though some of those choices have horrendous out comes, if you made the choice in the first place, and you knew the possible out come, then there is nothing to be guilty about. There is only the payment of those choices.

The journey is never easy, its heat breaking, hard, and most of the time life changing, roll with those changes and take the world as it comes.

Allow you self to travel spiritually between the vials. (more later)

Traveling in meditation is the best way to learn about the journey, it’s the best way to learn about the world around you, its also the best way to ask Spirit Guide the question that you are striving to understand.

Through studding the Shaman way, and through studding others path of Shamanism, I have seen many people in our path who thank we should have to use drugs, to achieve the information of Spirit. We do not; we don’t have to depend on any thing but our own minds to achieve the journey. We must learn to depend on the mind, self, and spirit to make the journey. We must learn that its not about the escape, this the journey its self.

There are 4 types of journeys.

    1:         life

you must live this life time to its fullest to enjoy and embrace the journey.

2:         OBE (Out of Body experience)

OBE is one of the events that is the most miss understood. OBE is the protection of the Spirit, the Soul, or inner self, to another location. To interact with that location and to try and see what's going on.

There are exercises that can be done to achieve this and to it has to be work on almost daily till you get it. Remember not to build stress while meditating

    3:         Astral Travel

The Astral is a plane all to its on, it’s not actually on this world, but yet it is, (find books at the book store) it’s the worlds between this work and time.

It’s a place with out time.

You can see the Collage, guardians, and Spirit Guides.

You will learn how to Astral and you will learn to OBE as a part of your journey.

    4: PLR  (Past Life Regression)

The PLR is one of the most debated aspects of the Shaman, it’s the time where we are aloud to see Past lives, to be able to travel back and see what we was in the past.

This can be done with Meditation, Regression Therapy, Hypnosis, and many other forms of treatment.

You do need to be aware that your personality, fears, and imagination have a lot to do with what you will see, or think you will see in the PLR. You need to do it first with some one you trust with you.

You will also need to beware of people who might try and sway your memories while in meditation for PLR. Always request a recording of your PLR so you can hear what was said from both sides.

Understanding the forms of journey, and learning how to use and respect them is only half the battle.

You have to learn and understand all aspects of the Shaman, and you will in due time.

While learning about your self, your past, and learning how to enjoy who and what you are, you can enjoy all the beauty and wonderful energies that go with it.

As you follow your journey, enjoy the changes, the wonderful openings that will be made to you.

    Shaman idealisms Chapter 1

Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 10:00 AM CST [General]

    Shaman idealisms                      Chapter 1

How do I become a shaman? How do I learn shamanism? Have you lost your mind?

People often come to me and ask the one question that drives me nuts. "How do I become a Shaman? Become, Become.. perhaps you can "become" anything you set your mind to, perhaps you can become any one you want. You don't really "Become" a Shaman. You can learn shamanism, you can be taught what a shaman is, how they live, how they believe, and other aspects of the shaman but, you don't become shaman.

There are things we look at in the personality of a person, much like "Witch", "Druid", Fey, and other crafts, you either are, or you are not.

The question is, "how do I learn to live, deal, and respect my gifts, how do I honor the power given to me?"

These questions can never be answered in a book, blogs, or a 90 minute dvd, or any thing but living the experience. You have to live the craft to be that craft, you have to understand the trials, the life style, the dreams, the wonderful blessings of the shaman life style.

Shamanism actually has no beginning, its just always been.

Its always been in every society known to man kind.

I am actually rambling because I really don't know where to start with the Shaman Idealisms, its like trying to explain how I breathe, its just there, I just do it, I just "am".

Something my spirit guide has always told me, "When you understand the earth, when you fly with the air, when you walk the fire, when you have rode the wave of water, and when you have accepted the spirit, then will you understand the scope of the task laid down before you".

This perplexed me for years, I never understood the meaning of what Spirit Guide was trying to tell me, and I am still learning. I have yet but scratched the surface of the responsibility of our job.

"There is a walk you must take, a journey, a place you must see before you can achieve the goal, there are places to go, things to see, and people to learn from, before you can sleep."

"Places in your mind are like pool of water, they are smooth, clear, transparent and yet you can't see the bottom because of your doubts, your fears, your insecurities."

"If the shortest distance between two points is a striate line, then what the shortest distance from one side of the mountain to the other?"

Answers to these questions are vas, because they are really not questions, but parables, things ask by spirit, to force you to think, to open your mind and expand you idealisms to escape the closed plane where we now live.

The expanse of the cosmoses is beyond even the wildest imagination, its size is incomprehensible. If this is so, then why people strive each day to find out the size, how old it is, where it came from, and other questions that my never be answered.

As shaman, we pull our energy from the Cosmos, we have the sun, moon, stars, and the energy of the earth mother, but why drain the sources that depend on the cosmos anyway?

I meet people every day who feel its ok to pull form the Earth, to pull from other people, and to pull from where ever they can find an energy source. I find this truly funny, and sad at the same time. There is a never ending energy pack,  always there, a source of power. You just need to understand how to tap into that power, its there for all of us, all we have to do is respect it.

In the following chapters, you will learn the deferent layers of the Shaman, the life style and the personalities.

You will get insight to where we stand on many of our moralities and how we live in the societies we do, and make it work.

Shaman idealisms of Counseling pt1 06-23-08

This is going to be a multi part series of my form of counseling, and ill be doing this series for a while.

Should you have input, ideas, or debates they are welcome, if your going to tell me I am wrong, I would like to see "case study", real perceptions, and why you feel this way.

If you are going to tell me I am wrong, please have a supporting statement as to why.

Thank you to all who read my blogs and I hope they continue to help.

I will be heading to Scotland July the 11th for two weeks, so I am not sure ill be posting during that time.

With that said, here we go.

My experience in "Spiritual counseling" goes back to when I was in school, as I have said in the past. Folks used to come to me and ask me questions and ask me for help with there day to day lives. I never quiet knew where the information came from, and during that time I really didn't care.

Over time I started to understand that the information was coming from what we call, Wisdom. This is where we have learned experiences from past lives, this life time, deity, spirit guides, and other forms of spiritual guidance.

While reading my experience and ideas, you must understand that I am not a licensed therapist, nor do I carry any formal training in the field of psychiatry. I am a Minister, with many years of working with, watching, and listening to people and there problems.

I have always believed that people should work on the root of the problem, not the symptoms that the root has caused.

Ok, disclaimers aside, legalities handled, now we can move on.

There are many forms of Shamanism. We are all healers of one form or another, we are Spirit healers and Animal healers,  we walk the vials and between worlds with out fear or need for any thing other the permission from the "client" do to so. We can see in to the spirit of a client, we see things about the client that (some times) they don't see them selves.

When we are working with a client, we have to be careful not to invade, persuade, or attempt to program what "we" thank should be there.

We should always remember that as "Healers" we are responsible for the "Elemental" (more on this later) well being of our client.

We should always strive for honor and truth to the client (as much as they can handle) and we should be honest (as much as they can handle).

Why do I say "as much as they can handle"? Because more times then not, people can't handle the truth. Every one wants the truth till they hear it, then they don't want it, and they want to fight, or become angry, or come back with "But I".

Always remember the "Shaman Morality". This varies from Shaman to Shaman but, much of the time, the Shaman morality varies form the society in which we live.

We are the "Shape Shifter", we can blend in with the environment, we can "become" what we need to become to the client in order to help them. The problem many Shamans fall in to is the "White Night" Syndrome, this is where we allow our selves to become emotionally involved with the client to try and help them past the problems they are having.

The white night syndrome is very dangerous to all parties involved, so you will want to be careful of this.

Some of the major problems all the Students I have had through the years, including my self, are the energies we carry with us always.

We carry energy that makes some people uncomfortable; I have been accused of having "inappropriate energy" with people from time to time.

You will need to watch your self when you are reading, talking to, and working with, clients of all ages. Especially those of the opposite sex, due to the fact, the world we live in to day is so wrapped up in fear and always afraid some one is going to do something sexual or dirty, that every word, energy, touch, motion, or emotion we use can be, and is much of the time is miss understood as trying to be sexual. (more on this later)

Some times Shamans come across as aggressive, intimidating, or arrogant. This would be, because we are (to a degree we have to be), we know what we are doing is right, we know that we are always learning, and we know, we are always the student. When we meet a client, and we are asked to "read" that client, there is no room for doubt; there is no room for "am I reading this right", and there is no time to question why we are doing what we do.

Now please remember, even though we are Shaman, and we are the "Healer", we do have restrictions, we do have a "Code of Honor" as must up hold. As I have said above, this varies from Shaman to Shaman, and person to person.

I can sit here all day and tell you the "Do's and Don'ts" of Shamanism, but at the end of the day, you have to know that what you are doing has helped, it has helped the client as much as you can, while always holding the honor in your heart and actions.

In the chapters to follow I will introduce you to our way Shaman Counseling.

Though this is not intended for you to go out and say "I am a Shaman Healer" but, this will help you learn how we do things and why.

Enjoy your reading, feel free to ask questions, and remember, though this style works for me, it might not work for you.

    Good luck and enjoy.

    Don
